Parish Assembly

The Staffordshire Moorlands Parish Assembly is a forum where parish representatives and District Councillors meet to discuss issues affecting the community, debate them, and make recommendations to the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (SMDC).
Key Functions:
- Forum for Discussion: It provides a space for dialogue on local issues, such as economic challenges or the impact of tourism, and helps in shaping local responses.
- Recommendation Body: The Assembly can make recommendations to the District Council on a wide range of community concerns.
- Representation: It appoints representatives to serve on advisory panels and other outside bodies on behalf of the District Council.
- Information Sharing: The Assembly facilitates the exchange of information and best practices between parishes and the District Council.
